Free workshop set for Dec. 18 on coping with cost of cancer care

Cancer Support Community will host a free workshop for cancer patients and their loved ones, Frankly Speaking About Cancer: Coping with the Cost of Care, from 2 to 4 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 18947 John J. Williams Highway, Suite 312, Rehoboth.

The program provides a practical guide to navigating the numerous and complex challenges of managing the cost of cancer care. This free workshop will be led by Jeanne Griffith Leslie, MBA, CRPC, financial officer with Griffith Financial Strategies Group of Wells Fargo Advisors LLC in Media Pa., and Shana A. Pinter, Esq., managing attorney with Pinter Law LLC.

Frankly Speaking About Cancer aims to streamline the crucial resources available to people in treatment for cancer. Created by the Cancer Support Community, this workshop includes a complimentary booklet that sheds light on the psychological impacts of incurring debt, sometimes for the first time, in combination with coping with a cancer diagnosis.
