Keepin' it short—we'll talk turkey next week

November 29, 2013

Last weekend the Cowboys beat the Giants on a fourth quarter drive in the windy and freezing cold weather at Giants Stadium. The Eagles are now tied for first with the Cowboys at 6-5. With the NFC East being such a mediocre division, only one team will make the the playoffs. The Eagles' fate could come down to their last game of the season against Dallas. As of now, the Cowboys are ahead of the Eagles in terms of tiebreakers. The obvious announcement out of Philly this week is that Nick Foles will officially be the starting quarterback for the Eagles for the rest of the season. We can only hope he remains injury free!

I am currently a very happy Phillies fan because Brian McCann, who was the Atlanta Braves catcher, signed with the New York Yankees. He has spent most of his career crushing the Phillies!

The major league soccer championship game will take place Dec. 7 between Real Salt Lake and Sporting Kansas City. Kansas City will have the home field advantage.

College football fans get treated to two huge games on Saturday, Nov. 30 with undefeated Ohio State traveling to Ann Arbor to battle 7-4 Michigan at noon while the 10-1 Tigers of Auburn host top-ranked Alabama in the Iron Bowl at 2:30 p.m.  One of these teams has a great chance to play in the national championship game come January.
