Trinity Logistics holds Hustle for Hunger 5K Run/Walk

Food drive feeds 250 families
December 4, 2013

Trinity Logistics hosted its Hustle for Hunger 5K Run/Walk in early November at corporate headquarters in Seaford to raise money to feed local families in need. It was followed by a monthlong food drive to collect nonperishable food items for inclusion in Thanksgiving meals that would be distributed to needy families.

Trinity saw 50 participants come out to support this great cause. Every participant received a Hustle for Hunger T-shirt and was greeted at the finish line with post-race festivities.

Awards were given for overall male, female, and masters winners, as well as the top three male and female runners in each 10-year age bracket, from 14 and under through 70 and over.

Team members from Trinity Logistics and Perdue Farms came together to prepare food bags to be given to the families. With the donation of 250 roasters by Perdue Farms and the proceeds from the 5K and food drive, Trinity Logistics met its goal of feeding 250 families this holiday season.

Organizer and Trinity team member Jennifer Wright said, “We are looking forward to being able to help families in need again next year.” Pictures and event results can be viewed in the Event Results tab on www.trisportsevents.com.
