Local botanicals make the holidays brighter

December 6, 2013

Delawareans can bring the message of supported employment home for the holiday season with a Noël Soap gift set, designed and distributed within the state. Sets of three holiday-inspired shea butter soaps are packaged by ServiceSource employees, helping provide a living wage for people with disabilities.

Locally, the Hockessin-based Noël Soap Project is in its second year, with high marks from customers for the quality of the made-in-America soaps and the holiday spirit they inspire!

“We wanted this series of soaps to recall holiday memories, both in design, as well as the ingredients,” said Vince McIntosh, president of Garden Voyage Botanicals, a division of Select Amenities Ltd. “The hand-drawn images by local artist David Boyd are reminiscent of Charles Dickens, and the all-vegetable shea butter soaps are fragranced with oil of peppermint, eucalyptus and bayberry - classic holiday scents.”

Noël Soap gift sets are carried by several local retailers and available for corporate order by contacting Select Amenities at 302-234-9294. Go to www.gardenvoyage.com for more information about the Noël Soap Project.

Inspired by the world-class botanical gardens in the Delaware Valley, the Garden Voyage Botanicals brand is dedicated to offering all-natural, shea butter-enriched soaps made in the United States. Lightly fragranced with essential oils, the soaps are vegetable-based and leave the skin feeling clean and rehydrated.

Select Amenities is a wholesale distributor of travel-sized personal care products to the hotel and airline markets. Inspired by Delaware Gov. Jack Markell’s supported employment initiative, A Better Bottom Line: Employing People with Disabilities, it recently launched Take Care with P&G Brands Travel Kits, assembled in Newark by Chimes Delaware clients.
