Delta Sigma Theta holds Designer Handbag Auction

Members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., Sussex County Alumnae Chapter, held the Fourth Annual Designer Handbag Auction and Luncheon Nov. 30 at Epworth United Methodist Church on Holland Glade Road in Rehoboth.

The event was a fundraiser for the sorority's Scholarship Fund. In addition to the handbag auction conducted by auctioneer Efrem Phillips, there was a silent auction. All proceeds of the auction and ticket sales will benefit high school seniors in Sussex County.

Lunch was catered by Casa DiLeo Restaurant in Rehoboth. Vendors included Mary Kay, Shorel Clark; Stuart Kingston Jewelry, Mauria Stein, art work by Doris Price, DJ Services by Jeron Duffy, TAO Holistic body and skincare, Cicely Everson and author GAWJJ, Geraldine J. Jones.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. is a private, nonprofit organization with the purpose of providing assistance and support through established programs in local communities. The Sussex County Alumnae Chapter, chartered in 1988, has provided more than 60 students with scholarship money.
