Dr. Uday Jani speaks to students at Worcester Preparatory School

December 15, 2013

Dr. Uday Jani, a respected physician from Lewes, was the featured speaker at Worcester Preparatory School’s annual Thanksgiving Service. Jani, who spoke at sessions for Grades 6-12 and also Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 5, stressed the importance of learning to understand and appreciate others.

He told students to think about what their parents and others do for them and be sure to thank them by doing good things in return. Another suggestion was to get to know all the students in their classes and their activities.

At the Thanksgiving service, students Ali Khan, Salisbury, Md.; Nik Moondra, Salisbury; Arella Berger, Ocean City, Md.; and Jamie Welsh, Ocean Pines, Md., offered prayers from Muslim, Hindu, Jewish, and Christian religions. Student Government Association President Lucas Baier, Ocean City, encouraged all students to contribute to the WPS Food Drive by donating canned and packaged goods in addition to funds to purchase meat and poultry for Christmas baskets for needy families.
