CAMP Rehoboth Chorus ready to rock at Feb. 8 concert

December 28, 2013

Tickets are now on sale for the CAMP Rehoboth Chorus winter concert, Oh What A Night...Back to the '50s and '60s. Due to the popularity of last year's concert, the chorus will have two performances, a 2 p.m. matinee and a 7 p.m. performance Saturday, Feb. 8. Both shows will be at Epworth United Methodist Church in Rehoboth Beach.

Led by music and artistic director Doug Yetter and accompanist David Zipse, the 75-member chorus is ready to celebrate the pop-rock music of the 1950s and 1960s. Backed up by a rock 'n' roll band, the chorus will feature many of the doo-wop, soft rock, early Motown, surf vocals, early British invasion and other hits still popular on the radio today. This is the CAMP Rehoboth Chorus, so the audience can also expect an unexpected twist or two.

This program is made possible, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency dedicated to nurturing and supporting the arts in Delaware, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.

Tickets are $20 and are available through CAMP Rehoboth by calling 302-227-5620, or at www.camprehoboth.com. Last year's concert was sold out before the doors opened, so book seats early for what promises to be a fun day or evening for everyone.

The chorus will present an encore performance of the show at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 27, at Possum Point Players' Possum Hall in Georgetown.
