Cape girls' basketball goes 1-1 in Pat Borowski Tournament

The Cape girls' varsity basketball team dropped the opening game 41-32 to Woodbridge then defeated Tower Hill 33-26 at the Pat Borowski Girls' Basketball Tournament Dec. 27 and 28 at Lake Forest High School.

Senior Ellie Sutton led the Vikings with 13 points in the Cape loss to the Blue Raiders while Alyssa Miller added 7.

"We forced a lot of turnovers in the second half with Woodbridge," said Cape coach Lamont Hazzard. "But we just couldn't score."

In Cape's win over Tower Hill, Alison Palmer led all scorers with 15 points.

The 2-4 Lady Vikings return to competition at Sussex Central Tuesday, Jan. 7.
