Epworth to shelter people in need

Epworth United Methodist Church will find shelter for people who are in need of a heated place to stay tonight, Jan. 6. Staff at the church said they would find motel rooms to help people escape the bitter cold that is expected in the region tonight.
Anyone in need of shelter should contact the church on Holland Glade Road, just south of Tanger Outlets Seaside at 302-227-7743. The church also expects to be open tomorrow, Jan. 7.
A polar vortex that is blanketing the nation in bitterly cold temperatures is expected to arrive in the area this evening, Jan. 6, and last through tomorrow night, Tuesday, Jan. 7.
