The MOMS Club of Coastal Delaware, a nonprofit organization which supports mothers and their children by offering enriching opportunities to stay active in the community, will host a Preschool and Activity Fair from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Jan. 11, at Epworth United Methodist Church on Holland Glade Road in Rehoboth Beach. The fair is open to the public and free to attend.
The Preschool and Activity Fair gives families throughout the community the opportunity to visit face-to-face with local preschool representatives to help determine which is the best fit for their children. In addition to the preschools, there will be a variety of organizations and businesses that offer extracurricular activities for kids including karate, soccer, tennis, yoga, music classes, summer camps, art programs, and more. This year, 25 local vendors will be participating in the fair.
In addition to the vendors, throughout the morning there will be demonstrations by two local children’s music groups, Keenote Music at 9:45 a.m. and Makin’ Music at 10:30 a.m., and also an exciting show by Charlie the Magician at 11:15 a.m. Face painting will be ongoing throughout the morning, and attendees can also participate in a raffle and possibly win tons of great door prizes.
For parents, it can be hard to decide which school is best for their kids and which activities they would most benefit from, and even harder to find the time to research and visit all the places they are interested in. The moms in the MOMS Club are all too familiar with these challenges, which is why they choose to host this event year after year and open it to the public. It is a way for them to give back to the community by offering these resources all in one place for ease and convenience, and of course, a fun way to spend a Saturday morning with the kids.
The MOMS Club is grateful for its sponsors of the 2014 Preschool and Activity Fair, Chik-fil-A, Lewes Printing, and The Backyard.
