Fusion Day Spa has moved to a three-acre property on Route 9, bringing with it the full day-spa treatment and a nightly special for couples that features massage, fondue and sauna treatments.
Owner, masseuse and holistic health guru Rob Leech said he moved the three-year old salon from its former home in Rehoboth to Cool Springs to take advantage of a larger property and expand services, giving Fusion Day Spa the feel of a retreat.
"The reason I moved out here is it is really a more secluded property," Leech said.
The day spa replaced the former home of Cool Springs Cottage at 28705 Lewes-Georgetown Highway, taking over the main building for massage and facial services and leaving room for further expansion in additional buildings with plenty of space for free parking, he said.
Leech said he has six massage therapists on staff, a sauna and hot tub and is working to convert extra rooms and buildings for additional services including outdoor spa packages in warmer months.
For now, the owner said he has come up with a cozy way to stir up business with a romantic package for couples in time for Valentine’s Day and cold winter nights.
Each evening, Leech said he is offering an ‘Ultimate Dream Couples Retreat’ at the facilities.
After the business day is done, Leech said he shuts down the facilities to provide the couples package: an hour-long couples massage, spa and sauna treatments, a three-course fondue dinner and champagne.
His business has changed slightly with the move, but Leech said the response of his clientele has been overwhelmingly positive, as shown in notebooks full of handwritten reviews he keeps at his reception desk.
A recent review, signed Jordan and Jessica Workman, says the couple stopped into Fusion for a couples massage and they were thrilled with the experience.
“Our first time here, and it was amazing,” the reviewer wrote. “A great place to come for our five-year anniversary.”
