County Bank donates to Primeros Pasos early childhood program

January 18, 2014

First Steps Primeros Pasos provides safe, affordable and nurturing early care and education in a culturally diverse environment. Since 1996, the organization’s programs have prepared children to better succeed when they reach school years. County Bank recently donated $1,000 to the organization’s Learning Center Building Project Capital Campaign.

The First Steps Primeros Pasos Board has been working to establish a new facility in Georgetown that will house a family-oriented, holistic program that provides educational, emotional, nutritional, health and social services to give youngsters the best possible start on their road to adulthood. First Steps Primeros Pasos has purchased, through a grant, a 1.39-acre property on which to build the center. Zoning and permitting is in place, and a copy of the initial design is complete. The 9,300-square-foot facility will be located at 20648 Savannah Road in Georgetown.

First Steps Primeros Pasos is seeking to fund the building that will house this program. For more information, visit www.primerospasosde.org, call the office at 302-856-7406, or mail donations to PO Box 1003, Georgetown, DE 19947.
