Lullaby students join Read Aloud for the holidays

January 26, 2014

Lullaby students got in the spirit of the holiday season by sharing gifts and reading stories with one of their favorite Read Aloud Delaware volunteers, Beth Joyner.

Children from the toddler classroom at Lullaby Learning Center can hardly contain their excitement when they see "Miss Beth" enter the building. The 2- and 3-year-olds have been reading with Joyner every Tuesday for the past year.

Read Aloud Delaware is a nonprofit organization working to ensure that each preschool child is regularly read to one-on-one. Lullaby Learning Center offers care and educates children of the community from birth through 5 years, and offers a preschool program in which students prepare for kindergarten. All of the preschool groups at Lullaby love their Read Aloud volunteers and eagerly anticipate their visits and one-on-one reading sessions.

Lullaby Learning Center is at 17400 N. Village Blvd. in the Villages of Five Points, Lewes. Call 302-703-2871 for more information.
