Kristie Maravalli named executive director of Bethany-Fenwick Chamber

Kami Banks, president of the Board of Directors for the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce, announced recently that Kristie Maravalli has been named executive director. Maravalli has served as the director of membership for the past seven months. During this tenure, she was responsible for all aspects of membership development including recruitment and retention as well as the marketing of corporate sponsorships and publications.

In addition, Maravalli coordinated ribbon cuttings, networking events, and chamber academies and workshops. She made the decision to come to the Bethany-Fenwick area after a 14-year stint as head women’s basketball coach at John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio, and working more than 20 years in athletics.

In stepping into this new role, Maravalli brings consistency and continuity to the chamber and will continue to build on the talents of the team that presently exists within the organization. Its focus is to fully execute the mission of the chamber, delivering value to its members, advocating in the interest of membership, implementing destination events and providing opportunities for networking, marketing and education with the goal of improving commercial success.

“It has been a privilege to work alongside Kristie in her role as director of membership. The board of directors and I believe she fully recognizes the vision of the chamber and will make positive advancements to our organization,” said Banks. Maravalli will assume the role of executive director immediately.
