2013 Year End Market Watch

The real estate market in Sussex County, Delaware ended the year 2013 on a very promising note.  Overall sales of single-family homes in the county outpaced sales from the previous year, with 2,583 single-family homes sold, compared to 2,294 in 2012, a 13% increase.  In addition, the average sales price (+6%) and median sales price (+8%) continued to rise.

The attached report details the sales of single-family homes in Sussex County for the year ending 2013.   Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Gallo Realty, holds the number two position in market share for the number of properties sold in Sussex County, with 809 closed units (9% market share) through the end of 2013 (statistics taken from the Sussex County Association of REALTORS® Multiple Listing Service).
