Delaware Veterans Coalition leaders take office

February 6, 2014

The newly-elected officers of the Delaware Veterans Coalition presided over the first meeting of their new term Jan. 27 in Kitts Hummock. The officers are Dave Skocik, president; Paul Davis, vice president; Sam Chick, treasurer; and Don Coffman, secretary. Their term of office runs through December 31, 2015. County directors include Tom Daws of New Castle County and Mike Rowe of Sussex County.

Founded in May 2011, the coalition is a statewide, nonprofit, pro-bono lobbying organization that works with elected officials and community leaders on issues that affect all generations of Delaware’s military veterans. Membership is open to all First State veterans regardless of conflict or era in which they served.

The mission of the coalition is to ensure that the concerns of those who serve are heard. Its slogan is “Veterans are our only business.” Coalition dues are $20 per year.
