Envirotech welcomes Al Demerich as production manager

Envirotech Environmental Consulting Inc., a leader in comprehensive environmental management services, stormwater management and water quality management, recently welcomed Albert Demerich to its professional staff as the new production manager. He will be overseeing field services and managing operations at the Rehoboth Beach location.

Albert M. Demerich, RLA, ASLA, brings more than 30 years’ experience in project and personnel management. He will be applying this valuable experience in helping Envirotech maintain its unequaled leadership role in the environmental field and customer service.

With two degrees from Pennsylvania State University, and as a licensed landscape architect in Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia, he has a wide array of experience in the various disciplines associated with the profession of landscape architecture. His work has included traditional site designs; project management and permitting for residential, corporate, commercial and industrial projects; site investigations for future development; development of concept designs; client and regulatory approvals; and construction implementation. His experience includes applying landscape architectural training and approaches to habitat design, wetlands restoration, and water quality best management practices. His environmental work has included wetland creation/restoration, and riparian stream buffer investigation and creation.

Most recently, Demerich has been promoting the Environmental Protection Agency’s green infrastructure methodology of designing for stormwater management and quality. He presented on Green Site Planning at the New Castle County Sustainable Building Seminar, and Landscaping with Rainwater for Beauty and Function at a joint session of the Brandywine Valley Association and the Habitat Resource Network of Southeastern Pennsylvania. In addition, he presented on Economic Impact of Storm Water Best Management Practices, Necessary Evil or Positive Attribute, at the 2007 American Water Resource Association Mid-Atlantic Conference. His poster and abstract on The Green Infrastructure, its Opportunities and Advantages, was published and presented by the Pennsylvania Storm Water Symposium.
