Senator Ernie Lopez: the flip-flopper

February 6, 2014

Last year I was pleasantly surprised by Sen. Ernie Lopez’s vote for the minimum wage increase. Since the majority of Americans favor an increase in the minimum wage, I thought he was representing his district. And since many of the legislatures thought it was not the right time for an increase, I thought Sen. Lopez was standing on principle.

Consequently, I was shocked last week, with the economy improving, that Sen. Lopez changed his vote to no. So, I guess he voted for it before he voted against it. So much for principle.

Will the real Sen. Lopez please stand up!
