Ernie Lopez votes the wrong way - again

February 7, 2014

Our legislators who recently voted to raise the state minimum wage are to be commended for moving things in the right direction, though they should have done more to support those who work hard and long to try to make ends meet.

Those who voted against this legislation, including my own senator, Ernie Lopez, should be ashamed. They may represent certain interests, but surely not those of working people. In Sussex County, we have more than our share of those who work long hours for minimum wage and struggle every day to try to support a family.

The priorities of Ernie Lopez and other politicians who choose to ignore their struggle are unforgivably clear.
