Sussex Tech Ducks Unlimited Club helps preserve local habitat

Sussex Technical High School students hosted the first Sussex Tech Ducks Unlimited Club Dinner and Auction in November at the Dagsboro Fire Hall. The club is one of the few high school chapters in the United States. The event raised $8,315 that will go toward preserving wetlands and waterfowl habitat for generations to come.

Ducks Unlimited is the world’s leader in wetlands and waterfowl conservation. It conserves, restores, and manages wetlands and associated habitats for North America’s waterfowl. Sussex Technical High School is Sussex County’s only full-time comprehensive technical high school and draws students from throughout the county. It offers 16 career-technical educational programs and gives students the opportunity to enroll in and complete college courses during their junior and senior years of high school.
