Mariner Middle School’s eighth-grade honors language arts students have worked hard this year learning about different genres of writing and the publication process.
Teachers Dana Orton and Diane Albanese have guided their students in choosing a genre that would interest them along with choosing a topic that would be appropriate for the genre to enter in the Delaware Scholastic Writing Awards competition.
Students across the state were recognized Feb. 8 at a ceremony in Dover with guest of honor U.S. Rep. John Carney.
