Glass Slipper Concierge travel planner to present free talks Feb. 15

February 12, 2014

Disney-certified Glass Slipper Concierge travel planner Duane Whitman will present free hourly talks about multigeneration Disney Cruises and Walt Disney World Vacations from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Ellen Rice Gallery in Ocean View.

"What does Grandpa do while the kids and their kids are traipsing around Disney World or off on a cruise excursion?" asks Whitman. "What is there to do on the Disney Cruise Line ships? How far ahead should we book? How can we avoid lines and have more time to relax?"

Whitman will answer these questions and more on Saturday and provide free planning consultations as time allows. He invites the public to bring their questions and enjoy light refreshments and colorful presentations surrounded by beautiful artwork of the shore by Ellen Rice and other artisans. Free literature will be available to take home.

The talks are informal, with open question-and-answer periods about traveling to Walt Disney World, on the Disney Cruise Line, on Adventures by Disney, at Disney's new Hawaiian resort Aulani and Disneyland.

Whitman, who frequently gives talks about the best ways to travel Disney, has been an avid Disney fan all his life, visited Walt Disney World more than 30 times, sailed on the Disney Cruise Line numerous times and has been planning custom itineraries for families visiting Walt Disney World since 1972.

A graduate of the College of Disney Knowledge, he joined Glass Slipper Concierge, a Disney-specialized, authorized travel concierge service that offers meticulously planned Disney vacations, in 2012.

Whitman, a lifelong resident of the Millsboro area, has managed the Ellen Rice Gallery for 15 years. He offers free Disney travel consultations and planning, and can be reached seven days a week by calling 302-448-1534 and by appointment at the gallery year 'round.

The Ellen Rice Gallery is at 103 Atlantic Ave., Ocean View in the west end of the old Country Wicker Building, 2.2 miles west of the Bethany Beach totem pole on Route 26. For more information, call Whitman at 302-448-1534. Everyone is invited to attend.
