The Delaware Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society has announced the 2014 Walk MS dates and is inviting all Delawareans to join the movement. Walk MS is a nationwide rallying point to help raise critical funds that support cutting-edge research, drive change through advocacy, facilitate professional education, and provide programs and services to help people with MS move their lives forward.

To show support, each year loved ones, friends, and neighbors throughout Delaware - from Wilmington’s Riverfront to Sussex County’s Baywood Greens - lace up and step out in solidarity, with hopes of creating a world free of MS.

"Each year, thousands of participants come out to celebrate hope and the accomplishments made in the MS Movement,” said Linda Risk, development director. “Our dedicated walkers raised almost $300,000 last year, and we expect even greater success this year. We encourage everyone to join the movement in 2014 by creating a walk team, volunteering, or recruiting others.”

Dates and locations statewide include: Wilmington Riverfront Walk, 9 a.m., Saturday, April 12; registration at 8 a.m.; Historic Dover Walk, 10 a.m., Saturday, April 12, registration at 9 a.m.; Newark Walk at Buffalo Wild Wings, 10 a.m., Saturday, May 3, registration at 9 a.m.; Twilight at Heritage Shores, 6 p.m., Saturday, May 30, registration at 5 p.m.; Twilight at Baywood Greens, 6 p.m., Saturday, May 30, registration at 5 p.m.
