Credit union offers patronage dividend to loyal members

February 17, 2014

Sussex County Federal Credit Union is preparing to reward loyal member-owners with a patronage dividend. SCFCU members who utilize multiple services such as checking, loans, and investments will find an extra $100 in their checking account as a thank you for their loyalty.

Sussex County FCU CEO Pamela Fleuette said, "A credit union is cooperatively owned by its members; each of these member-owners is a shareholder. After paying all operational costs, SCFCU reinvests in its member-owners by offering additional products and services, expanding locations and/or hours, and now through returning a patronage dividend. This is just one of the many ways that our credit union stands out from other financial institutions. The more member-owners who utilize our full menu of services, the more value and benefits we can return to the membership; that's the cooperative spirit in action."

Sussex County Federal Credit Union has a 5-star superior rating from BauerFinancial Inc. a leading independent credit union and bank rating firm. The 5-star rating is the highest offered and reflects Sussex County FCU's commitment to operating a financially safe and sound financial institution.
