Milton Elementary students plant positive seeds for future choices

February 23, 2014

As part of the Moose Youth Awareness Program, Cape Henlopen High School senior Courtney Bowski recently visited third-grade classes at Milton Elementary School to talk to students about peer pressure. The program’s focus is planting positive seeds in children 4-9 years old.

In addition to peer pressure, topics include self-esteem, alcohol and tobacco abuse, violence and respect for each other. High school students who show leadership skills and want to become involved in their communities are eligible to participate.

Students in Michelle Donnelly's class gather with Bowski during the visit.  In back are (l-r) Emma Morris, Isabella Guarino, and Autumn O'Donnell. In front are Maria Bair, Mikaylah Lyndsay and Haylie Bundick.
