The Rehoboth Beach Film Society is seeking original art submissions to be adapted for the 2014 Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival’s artwork. The selected submission will become the theme for designing the film festival’s poster, program, T-shirt, and other promotional materials. Submissions must be new, original, and created with film and coastal Delaware in mind.
The selected artist will receive significant visibility by having his or her work featured in numerous marketing applications. Several thousand festival programs will be printed with the chosen artwork on the cover and an interior page devoted to a biography and photo of the selected artist. In addition, more than 1,000 copies of the festival poster featuring the artwork will be displayed in businesses throughout Sussex County. The artwork will also be posted on the film society’s website with a link to the selected artist’s website.
The selected artwork will be auctioned at the Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival in November 2014 with proceeds to benefit the Rehoboth Beach Film Society.
Artwork from the following artists was selected for previous festivals: Damon Pla in 2013, Laura Ambler in 2012, Damon Pla in 2011, Nina Stamus in 2010, Batenga Obuseh in 2009, and Faith Lord in 2008.
Artists interested in making a submission can go to www.rehobothfilm.com/festival_artwork_guidelines.html for criteria or call the RBFS office, 302-645-9095. Each year the film society tries to select a novel artistic concept for the Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival. Interested artists should visit the Poster Archives page of the RBFS website to review designs of previous years so each submission can represent a fresh face. The deadline for submissions is 4:45 p.m., Friday, March 14.
