Second Street Players to present 'Snow White' Feb. 28 to March 2

Sunday performance is pay-what-you-can
February 24, 2014

Second Street Players Children's Desert Theater will present “Snow White” by Tim Kelly Friday to Sunday, Feb. 28 to March 2.

The wonderful world of the Brothers Grimm is brought to life in this adaptation of the familiar story filled with excitement, adventure and fun. All the characters are there: the lovely princess, the mischievous dwarves, the prince, the huntsman, the evil queen, in addition to some hilarious palace cats and the enchanted vixen. In this version, the magic mirror not only talks - it walks!

Shiver and shake as the scheming queen transforms herself into various personalities like Esmeralda, the young gypsy, and a withered crone so horrible even the queen herself is terrified. And that poisonous apple is waiting for the heroine.

Director Alaina Buchanan and assistant director Michael Forrest bring this classic tale to life in the Riverfront Theater. Stay after the show for a special dessert treat and autograph session.

Shows are at 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday, and 1 p.m., Sunday. Feb. 28 is a pay-what-you-can performance; bring the whole family and make a donation.

Saturday and Sunday tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 18 years and younger; tickets can be purchased at the box office at the Riverfront Theater, 2 South Walnut St., Milford.
