Lewes Fire Dept. Auxiliary to host St. Patrick's Day Dinner Dance March 15
The Lewes Fire Department Auxiliary will hold a St. Patrick’s Day Dinner Dance starting at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, March 15, at Station 1 on Savannah Road. Delicious fare will provided by local restaurants. The event is BYOB and will also feature a DJ and 50/50 raffle.
After last year’s successful Valentine’s Day event, the auxiliary decided to try the luck of the Irish. Auxiliary member Nina Wilkinson said the event is not just for couples. “We are just providing an event to eat delicious food, dance and have a blast, she said. “We plan our fundraising activities with the emphasis on fun, but our goal is to continue to give back to our community.”
Tickets are $20 each with tables of 10 discounted at $150 and include dinner, iced tea, coffee and dessert. Tickets are available now and can be purchased at Station 1 from any Lewes Fire Department Auxiliary member or by contacting Marcia Esposito at lfdaux@gmail.com or 302-329-9396.
Since 1796, citizens of Lewes have stepped forward to join the ranks of the town's volunteer fire service. For 200 years, the association has been filled with men and women wanting to serve others. Since 2009, the LFD once again boasts an auxiliary which maintains the same mission: to serve.
