Bobby McVey, shown with a pineapple top with roots submerged in water, gave a presentation on hydroponic gardening to the Sussex Gardeners at the club's regular February meeting. McVey discussed the basic concepts of hydroponic gardening including water treatment, use of clay pellets, air stones, and oxygen pumps. He has successfully grown lettuce for local restaurants and is currently growing strawberries.
