2014 Photo Beach Bash March 26 to feature photography exhibit

February 28, 2014

In addition to a full day of programs and demonstrations, attendees at the March 26 Coastal Camera Club Photo Beach Bash can view an outstanding exhibit of photographs. Each image on display will be by a member of the Coastal Camera Club, and each one will have won a first place in one of the club’s monthly competitions during the past year.

To win a first place, these photographs must have been submitted under one of the club’s specified competition topics including assigned pictorial, assigned nature, creative, open color, and open monochrome. During the competition, each photograph is carefully reviewed and rated by a panel of judges until a final determination for prize winners has been made.

There will also be a slide show of all the club’s winning images during the past year: the first-, second-, third-place winners and honorable mentions.

Photo Beach Bash 2014 will take place at the Atlantic Sands Hotel and Conference Center in Rehoboth Beach. With the theme of  Making Great Shots Happen, a full lineup of renowned photographers will present outstanding programs to enhance each attendee’s knowledge of photography.

Cost for the full day, which begins at 9 a.m., is $19 with no charge for the 7 p.m. keynote presentation by Canon Explorer of Light photographer Michele Celentano. For more information and to purchase tickets, go to www.photobeachbash.com.

The Coastal Camera Club is dedicated to promoting an interest in photography and advancing the skills of members through learning and sharing of photographic knowledge and experiences. Guests are always welcome to visit the CCC meetings and competitions at the Cadbury at Lewes retirement community, 17028 Cadbury Circle, Lewes.

Programs by renowned speakers are held on the second Wednesday of each month, and competition nights are held on the fourth Wednesday. For more information, go to www.coastalcameraclub.com.
