Rep. Ruth Briggs King meets with constituents

March 8, 2014

State Rep. Ruth Briggs King, right, R-Georgetown, met with constituents recently at the Long Neck CHEER Center for a Meet & Greet session. She holds the meetings periodically throughout the district in order to listen to residents' concerns and share with them some of the important issues before the General Assembly.

Topics at the Feb. 26 meeting included manufactured housing questions, farmland preservation, budgetary concerns, and transportation and infrastructure issues.

Briggs King also took the opportunity to restate that she is opposed to the governor's proposed 10-cent gasoline tax increase.

Shown listening to Briggs King is Robert Davis of Millsboro.
