Georgetown Volunteer Fire Company Station 77 played host to the 77th annual Oyster Eat Feb. 28. Hundreds of men packed the fire hall to feast on some oysters, drink some beer and enjoy some good company.

At 10 p.m., the annual auction of a commemorative Oyster Eat knife commenced with Joey and Eric Pepper placing the winning bid of $4,200.

The money raised during the event is used to fund Georgetown Fire Department's annual operations. The total amount of money raised this year was not available.
