Sussex YMCA summer camp information night set March 10

March 7, 2014

The YMCA of Delaware is offering day and overnight camp to give kids and teens throughout the state of Delaware an adventurous, active and healthy summer. YMCA camp programs offer unique experiences with an opportunity to explore the outdoors, meet new friends, discover new interests and create memories that last a lifetime.

The Y encourages parents to help their kids unplug from technology and explore all the Y’s camps by attending the open house Monday, March 10, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Sussex Family Y at 20080 Church St., Rehoboth Beach.

“Attending a YMCA summer camp is a wonderful opportunity for kids to keep their minds and bodies active,” says Deborah Bagatta-Bowles, YMCA of Delaware chief executive officer. “At Camp Tockwogh, the Y’s overnight camp or one of our day camps, kids will learn about nature, take on new responsibilities, gain independence, and develop essential social skills and new relationships. We really encourage parents to give their kids the gift of camp so that every child can benefit from the experience.”

The YMCA of Delaware offers financial assistance to those in need. For more information, go to ymcade.org.
