Bon voyage Café Azafran Lewes

March 7, 2014

We moved to Milton last year. It was a much anticipated move and we have never looked back. When people ask us how is living in Milton, our first response is always, “We’re only 10 minutes from Café Azafran in Lewes.”

Today we ate lunch at Café Azafran in Lewes for the last time. The restaurant is closing on Sunday. The Café Azafran in Rehoboth will remain open and we will certainly frequent it. However, we have been going to the Lewes location ever since its first week of operation. We loved the restaurant. It was our favorite restaurant in Delaware.

We will sorely miss going to Lewes to go to Café Azafran. We will sorely miss the wonderful people who worked there. We will sorely miss bumping into other people we knew when we went there. For me, a Brooklyn boy, Café Azafran closing is horribly reminiscent of the Dodgers moving to Los Angeles.

Thank you everyone who worked there and frequented there. Thank you for great meals and great times. We wish the staff the best in their future endeavors. We wish Café Azafran the greatest success in Rehoboth.
