RBHA to meet March 15

Rehoboth Beach Homeowners Association’s next board meeting is 9 a.m., Saturday, March 15, at CAMP Rehoboth, 37 Baltimore Ave. The public is invited to at­tend.

MERR founder to address CIB board

Suzanne Thurman, found­er and director of the Marine Education, Research & Rehabili­tation Institute Inc., will present at the next meeting of the Citi­zens Advisory Committee of the Delaware Center for the Inland Bays at 5 p.m., Thursday, March 20.

The meeting will be held at the CIB offices on Inlet Road in Delaware Seashore State Park, just north of Indian River Inlet bridge. The nonprofit, estab­lished to provide rescue and response to stranded marine mammals and sea turtles in Dela­ware, was founded in 2000 and is based in Lewes.

In addition to stranding response, MERR also contributes to research and provides education programs to students and the general pub­lic. Now in its 14th year, this volunteer-based organization has provided stranding response for more than 1,400 animals and served more than 150,000 people with educational programs.

Cape Henlopen school board meets March 13

The Cape Henlopen school board will meet at 6 p.m., Thurs­day, March 13, in the cafeteria of Beacon Middle School for its regular meeting. The board will hear the latest on make-up days for graduating seniors and other students. The board also will re­ceive an update on the upcoming school referendum.
