Rehoboth Beach Running Company starts eighth year in business by relocating

March 14, 2014

The Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony March 7 for the Rehoboth Beach Running Company. Members of the Chamber’s Meet & Greet Committee were present to help the RBRC celebrate the relocation.

Rehoboth Beach Running Company, the only full-scale specialty running and multisport retail store serving the Nation's Summer Capital, marks its eighth year of business by relocating to the Shops at The Pearl at 301 Rehoboth Ave..

With its move into the new address, the company joins a bustling location that includes Starbucks and the Cultured Pearl restaurant.

"Moving the store was the right decision," Rehoboth Beach Running Company owner Mary Beth Evans said. "We love the new location."

Evans and her staff of one full-time and one part-time employee bring almost 20 years' combined experience in running shoes and triathlon gear retail sales, in addition to more than 30 years in competitive road racing, du/triathlons, and other multisport events.

"We're experienced and knowledgeable," said Evans. "That combination sets us apart."

Rehoboth Beach Running Company carries shoes, clothing, bars, gels and other gear for runners and multisport athletes from Brooks, Saucony, Asics, Mizuno, Sugoi, 2XU, Moving Comfort, The Stick, Zensah, and Zoot. The store offers a complimentary running gait analysis to customers intending to purchase new running shoes.

USA Triathlon in 2012 named RBRC Delaware's first - and only - Certified Multisport Retailer. The designation by triathlon's governing body allows the company to offer duathlon/triathlon/aquabike expertise and to provide USAT educational information such as videos, training guides, workout logs, and more.

In addition to serving as major sponsor for the Rehoboth Seashore Marathon and Half-Marathon, RBRC helps underwrite the Dewey Beach Sprint Triathlon and other races that benefit local organizations. For more information go to runrb.com.
