Christina 'Chrissy' Lasky, proud U.S. citizen

Christina "Chrissie" Lasky, 87, of Lewes, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. She was born in Glasgow, Scotland, July 23, 1926, daughter of the late John and Rhoda (Cousins) Shanks and in later years proudly became a citizen of the United States.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her six siblings. She was especially devoted to her loving brother Bill. John Lasky, her husband and friend, passed away in November 2000.

Chrissie was a very loving and generous person who had many friends throughout her life and was a good friend to all. She loved to cook and bake. She was most proud of her delicious "New York-style" cheesecake, which was her signature dish.

Chrissie is survived by her daughter, Diane Costello and son-in-law Buddy; her son John Lasky and wife Janelle and son Edward Lasky; two grandchildren, Stacy McDonald and husband Darin, and Dustin Lasky; and one great-granddaughter, Beth.

She is also survived by her devoted friends, Joan, Carol, Jack, Beth, Bernie and Richard.

A memorial service will be held Monday, March 17, at 3 p.m., at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes. Interment will be private.
