Detour in place on Cave Neck Road

Cave Neck Road between Hudson Road and Route 1 near Milton will be closed to through traffic until 3 p.m. Friday, March 21, for DelDOT crews to remove and replace a crossroad pipe. If the project is held up because of weather, the detour could remain in effect until Wednesday, March 26. Local access will be maintained for residents, businesses and emergency vehicles.

The eastbound detour is Cave Neck Road onto Hudson Road to Eagles Crest Road to Route 1 south and return to Cave Neck Road; reverse the detour for westbound traffic.

Motorists can adjust their routes or travel times by using DelDOT’s smart phone application. The DelDOT app is available for Apple and Android smart phones and tablets, and can be downloaded free at the Apple and Google stores or go to DelDOT.gov and click on the link to stores.
