Cape district has earned taxpayers' trust

March 21, 2014

Please vote yes Wednesday, April 2 for the Cape Henlopen School District referendum. Having been involved over the years in various parts of the Long Range Facilities Plan adopted in 1996, we are so pleased to see the third and final phase being implemented.

Both the first and second phases, which culminated in opening two new middle schools, designed in anticipation of the additions needed now, and a new high school, were completed on time and under budget. We think the district has earned our trust.

The decision to ask for this referendum has been thoroughly and thoughtfully debated. Now, the children of the Cape Henlopen School District need our support. We hope everyone will join with us and vote yes for a new elementary school and middle school additions.
