Take shortcut at April 5 Walk for Autism fundraiser in state park
A shortcut is now available for walkers who need a little help completing the 5K route of the Autism Delaware Walk for Autism in Lewes. The shortcut can still accommodate the more than 600 walkers expected at the April 5 fundraiser in Cape Henlopen State Park.
“I worked with the park ranger,” said Autism Delaware Events Manager Deanna Principe, “to figure out a shortcut for those who are not able to make the full loop, and we managed to shorten the route by just over a mile. We need the event’s focus to remain on awareness and fundraising for autism services and supports in Delaware, not long-distance endurance.”
Title sponsorship of the 2014 Walk for Autism is available for any organization or company that would like to support people and families affected by autism. Included in the title sponsor benefits are premium placement of the company banner at the statewide event including the Wilmington leg on April 12, exhibitor space at both sites, the company logo on the new premier event T-shirt, a dedicated web page on the event website, and announcement of title sponsorship in both social media and a press release. A post-event press release will include a photo of the company’s participation.
“Agree to be the title sponsor for the 2015 Walk for Autism, too,” said Principe, “and we’ll add logo placement on statewide billboards to your package for next year.
