Crystal Marine awarded February Caregiver Angel of the Month

March 25, 2014

Visiting Angels has named Crystal Marine of Millsboro its employee Angel of the Month for February. The home care company provides services to help seniors and disabled adults remain independent and in their own homes for a better quality of life.

Marine, a graduate of Delaware Tech, cared for her mother through several bouts of cancer and attended Sussex Tech, where she received her CNA license, before joining Visiting Angels.

Marine says she loves to clean and really enjoys making a difference in people’s lives. “I love my job as a caregiver and getting to know my care recipients and their families,” she said.

The feeling seems to be mutual, says Annalise Forman, director of Visiting Angels: “Crystal impressed us from the very first time she came into our office. We had high hopes for her for very specific clients, and she didn't disappoint. The feedback from every care recipient has been phenomenal.”

Marine is one of nearly 80 Visiting Angels employees who assist with personal care, light housekeeping including laundry and linens, preparing meals, running errands, providing companionship in the home and transportation to appointments, and running errands for or with their care recipients.

Visiting Angels rewards employees based on their customer care and willingness to step in to meet the agency’s needs, even on short notice.

Forman said, “We’re pleased to have Crystal as one of our very best employees. To find out how Visiting Angels can help you or a loved one have a better quality of life at home, call 302-329-9475 or visit visitingangels.com/sussexde.
