April 8, 2014

The Bank of Delmarva recently presented $500 to The Jefferson School's Student Council, which has earmarked the donation for the school's greenhouse project.

At the check presentation are (l-r) Scott Rukowicz, The Bank of Delmarva's business development officer/relationship manager and The Jefferson School Student Council officers Delaney Cinnamon, Finn Davis, Karli Sunnergren, and Ellyes Baghouli.

"The Jefferson School is grateful for the support of community businesses such as The Bank of Delmarva as we continue to provide engaging, relevant, hands-on education," said Head of School Connie Hendricks."Integrating greenhouse growing into our school year and curriculum allows opportunities for investigation and learning. With so many senses stimulated, students can't help but become curious observers and active inquirers."

The Jefferson School, a nonsectarian, independent day school, is located on 43 wooded acres in Georgetown and strives to provide innovative academic programs that foster an enthusiasm for learning.
