A talented ensemble of young performers and stars of tomorrow from Clear Space Children's Theatre in Rehoboth Beach will perform some of the greatest hits from the 1980s in “Xanadu,” to be presented Friday to Sunday, April 11 to 13, at the Clear Space Theatre, 20 Baltimore Ave. in Rehoboth.

“Xanadu” is directed by Clear Space Company Manager David Button with choreography by Shondelle Graulich and musical direction by Melanie Bradley.

The cast of all-star young actors is led by Grace Morris (Kira/Clio), Kyle Atkinson-Steele (Sonny Malone), Meghan Hayward (Melpomene), Evan Hartnett (Calliope), and Ryan Bradley (Danny), with a series of other characters from Muses to Greek gods to skaters played by Madeline Barton, E. Cheyenne Epperson, Claire Marshall, Abby Pardocchi, Gabby Pardocchi, Grace Scott, Julia Sturla, and Will Warick.

With a magical book by Douglas Carter Beane and music and lyrics by Jeff Lynne and John Ferrar, the Clear Space Children’s Theatre takes on this musical adventure about following one’s dreams which rolls along with songs, including hits by Olivia Newton-John and the Electric Light Orchestra.

“Our spring Children’s Theatre production is one of the highlights of our education programming,” says Wesley Paulson, executive director. “These shows have the same energy and quality of our main stage performances, and we give them the same top billing in our marketing and promotions.”

Audiences of all ages will enjoy this whimsical and imaginative show. For this production only, all seats are priced at $15 for the 7 p.m. shows on Friday and Saturday, April 11 and 12, and the 3 p.m., Sunday, April 13 show. “Xanadu” runs one weekend only, so get tickets today.
