In Latin culture, the celebration of a young girl’s journey from childhood to young womanhood is known as a Quinceañera or Fiesta de Quince. This cherished custom remains an important event in the lives of Latinos in the Cape community. This was evident during the Miss XV Magazine Expo held March 30 at Independence Hall in Millsboro.
The event highlighted key elements in the traditional ceremony including dazzling ball gowns, music, dancing, food, family, and friends. Among the expo’s most popular segments were a beautiful, choreographed waltz and a stunning fashion show.
