Svaroopa Yoga meditation series begins May 3

April 10, 2014

Sandy (Mati) Gilbert has been teaching Svaroopa Yoga at Rehoboth Beach Yoga for almost 10 years and is a certified Svaroopa Yoga teacher with 700 hours of training. She has continued teacher training with Svaroopa Yoga’s originator, Swami Nirmalananda (formerly Rama Berch) during this time.

Gilbert has recently completed training to become a Svaroopa Yoga meditation teacher under the leadership of Swami Nirmalananda Saraswati at Svaroopa Vidya Ashram. She will be teaching a three-week series titled Roadmap to Svaroopa Yoga Meditation as part of her certification process.

This series is for those who are new to meditation, those out of practice, and those who have tried other styles in the past. The times and dates are 3 to 5 p.m., Saturday, May 3, 10, and 17.

In each class, students will learn a simple and effective meditation practice to try out in class and to practice at home. They will also learn how to sit comfortably and how to quiet their minds. Gilbert will offer clear explanations of what Svaroopa Yoga meditation is, and how and why to do it. She will also help with any difficulties students might encounter.

Students will be given the tools that will give the confidence and inspiration to make meditation a regular part of their lives.

Cost for this series is $75 - save $5 with registration and prepayment by Monday, April 28. For information and to register, contact RBYoga at rehoyoga@verizon.net or call 302-226-7646. Rehoboth Beach Yoga is at 20245 Bay Vista Road, Unit 101, Rehoboth Beach.
