OASIR to host Lewes Open House April 12

April 9, 2014

Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s International Realty will host an Open House Tour in Lewes from noon to 3 p.m., Saturday, April 12. Free and open to the public, the event will showcase some of the brokerage’s Lewes homes for sale. In addition, each home on the tour will feature light refreshments and complimentary flower seeds to coincide with the Lewes Tulip Festival this weekend.

Participants on the Open House Tour are encouraged to pick up tour maps at Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s Lewes location at 102 Savannah Road, across from Striper Bites. Everyone who visits four or more open houses on the tour that day should drop off their punch card at the tent or one of the open homes to be entered to win a piece of artwork from Art for a Purpose, a fine art gallery co-located at the brokerage.

The City of Lewes will be celebrating its Dutch heritage April 10-13, with more than 10,000 tulips blooming in its city parks. The gardens will be displaying a wide range of delightful tulip varieties. “The Lewes Tulip Festival is a wonderful event and is growing in popularity every year,” said Garrett Gannon, marketing director at OA Sotheby’s. “We thought it would be interesting to have our open house tour feature seeds as a takeaway so participants will be able to start or supplement their own flower gardens this year.”

People can pick up an open house map beforehand at one of the Ocean Atlantic offices or print one out at oasir.net. Attendees can visit one, a few, or all of the homes featured on the tour. The residences open that day range from classic beach cottages to historic downtown homes. “It should be a wonderful weekend in Lewes, and we are excited to be a part of it,” said Justin Healy, broker at OA Sotheby’s.
