Firefighters kick off recruitment campaign April 13

Markell pays tribute to volunteers who make a difference

Flanked by members of the General Assembly on his left and members of the Delaware Volunteer Firefighters Association on his right, Gov. Jack A. Markell presented a tribute in recognition of the firefighters and members of the ladies auxiliary April 8 on the steps of Legislative Hall in Dover. The tribute kicked off the statewide Delaware Volunteer Firefighters Make a Difference Campaign, which is intended to support the recruitment of new volunteer firefighters and members. As part of the campaign, fire houses across the state will be hosting open houses from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 13.
