A small race at a medium pace, the Oy Vey 5K run and walk attracted 75 runners Sunday morning to the Jewish Seaside Community on Holland Glade Road. The post-race spread of homemade kugel concoctions was to die for, or at least worth running for.
Mike Sewell, 44, and his no-body-fat, no-kugel-experience self won the overall race in 19:21.
Traci Gilson, 27, of Lewes was the first female in 22:49.
Some local age-group winners included Emily Simon, 10, in 32:01; and Kierian Firch, 17, who won the male 14-19 group in 24:13.
Rachel “Kite Lady” Webster, 45, was back in racing action winning the 40-49 age group in 27:44.
