New this year, the Lewes Artists Studio Tour is adding a spring tour. Eleven regionally and nationally acclaimed Lewes artists in nine locations in town will open their studios from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, May 10.

This is a unique opportunity to meet the artists in their studios, see them at work and perhaps win an original piece of art that will be given away in a drawing at the end of the day at each studio. There is no charge for taking the tour, and no ticket is required.

The Lewes Artists Studio Tour showcases the diverse talent in the Lewes art community and gives the public a chance to explore and discover the variety of media presented by these artists.  Paintings, textiles, photography, jewelry, pottery, mosaics and mixed media represent the diversity of their art work.

The artists opening their studios on the tour include Kevin Fleming, Barbara Warden, Peter Feeney, Lorelei Meanor sharing her space with Donna Whiteside, Diane Issel, Marilyn Nugent sharing her space with Jacqueline Chmiel, Perry Drevo, Caryl Ekirch Williams and Linda Dickey.

Brochures with maps indicating the location of each studio are available in the Lewes and Rehoboth-Dewey chambers of commerce, as well as shops and hotels throughout the Lewes-Rehoboth area, and online at For more information, contact Connie Ballato at 302-645-9431.
