Route 24 needs transportation plan

April 18, 2014

To everyone who voted for the needed elementary school to be sited on Route 24 and those who care about the safety of the students who will attend the new school:

We are not done!

Route 24 must also be as ready as possible when the school opens. DelDOT, in coordination with the Cape Henlopen School Board, must commit to a specific construction plan and sufficient dollars be set aside to allow for construction to proceed.

This is an election year. Legislators need your vote and will listen. Sussex County Council must establish Route 24 as a transportation plan priority. Call your legislative representative/ senator and county council member. Now is the time so speak up.
